The BLf range of fan-cooled vibrators is ideally suited for use in applications where continuous running in sustained high ambient temperatures will be encountered (around 50°C) or when attached to machinery handling hot materials such as foundry shake out machines and furnace feeders.
Axial fans on each end of the rotor shaft draw air in through the specially vented end covers and past the bearing housings.
The two opposing air streams meet creating a turbulent airflow which maximises heat dissipation from the vibrator frame to the surrounding air. The net effect is to reduce the core temperature of the vibrator thus prolonging the bearing life and reducing the re-lubrication frequency.
Due to the venting system in the end covers, the bearings are protected from contamination by a labyrinth seal arrangement.
This makes the BLf vibrator particularly suited to hot, dirty and hostile environments.
